The Oregon Independent Film Festival is once again bringing our collection of the newest independent films to the great cinemas of Portland, Bend, Eugene and across the state of Oregon.
OIFF proudly hosts film screenings and cinema events in Portland at The Clinton Street Theater, Cinema 21, and more, as well as hosting Oregon Independent Film Festival movie premiere screenings at the legendary Bijou and Metro cinemas in Eugene, with more cities to be announced during the season.
This year’s Oregon Independent Film Fest features over 100 films, made in over 20 countries, with fest programming that includes a selection of the best new work from the Pacific Northwest, as well as the now legendary and extensive OIFF Documentary Programming Series.
OIFF Oregon Independent Film Festival screenings will be held during the fall season and exhibited in the amazing independent cinema houses of Oregon, USA.
A studio action film that can be truly called independent: Mad Max: Fury Road was directed and produced by George Miller, creator of the original film, almost exhibited in Black & White, and stars female action leads in a thrilling and unique post-apocalyptic tale.
In this OIFF premiere, John Cusack, Elizabeth Banks, Paul Dano, and Paul Giamatti star in a biographical drama about musician-songwriter Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys. The film looks at two divergent periods of time using a parallel narrative, to re-create the recording of the classic album Pet Sounds, with a later-period tale of a romance that brought to light the manipulations of a controlling therapist.
The Bonobo Connection is a documentary about one of our closest and most endangered relatives, the bonobo ape. Narrated by Ashley Judd.
Jake “the Snake” Roberts was among the most famous professional wrestlers in the world. His talent was undeniable, and the giant snakes he threw upon his opponents, unforgettable. 30 years later, he has lost his family and his fortune to his reckless lifestyle.
Oscar©-winner Tilda Swinton narrates the stories of real people whose experiences on prescription psychotropic drugs didn’t align with the official narratives.
This feature-length documentary shows what happens when the punk bank NOFX tours the world.
