The annual Oregon Independent Film Festival© returns for our 16th festival season, showcasing the best independent cinema of past year in historic venues across the magnificent state of Oregon.
Dedicated to discovering the greatest new filmmakers, the Oregon Independent Film Festival searches the globe to find the most innovative and engaging movies of the year, to screen the best new work, alongside hollywood premieres, together in the legendary cinema houses of the pacific northwest, as part of our mission to promote the majestic state of Oregon as a global film tourism destination.
The Oregon Independent Film Festival Program Schedule will be released this fall, weeks prior to opening day.

Oregon Independent Film Festival special event film premieres have included movies from many notable directors, including Paul Schrader, Nicolas Winding Refn, John Krasinski, Trey Edward Shults, Charlie McDowell, Jason Stutter, Demetri Martin, Michael Showalter, Jake Paltrow, Thomas Vinterberg, Noah Baumbach, Sion Sono, and Wes Anderson.
Past Oregon Independent Film Festival premiere screenings have included new work from actors Nicole Kidman, Elisabeth Moss, Ethan Hawke, Keanu Reeves, Emily Blunt, Charlize Theron, Gillian Jacobs, Benicio Del Toro, Kevin Kline, Benedict Cumberbatch, Laura Linney, Jude Law, Holly Hunter, Elle Fanning, Carmen Ejogo, Michael Cera, Kumail Nanjiani, Colin Firth, Cheech Marin, Ashley Judd, Tilda Swinton, Christina Hendricks, Ray Romano, Tom Hardy & Scarlett Johansson.
Each year, the Oregon Independent Film Festival features over 60 films from around the world. Culminating with special screenings, celebrations, and events held in Portland, Oregon.
The Oregon Independent Film Festival holds screenings in cities across the great state of Oregon, including Portland / Eugene / Bend and more, ending in weeks of ceremonies, premieres, press events, and movie screenings in Portland, where the Oregon Independent Film Society honors the best independent films of the past year.
Fans of cinema are invited to attend the Oregon Independent Film Festival, where surrounded by the beautiful natural backdrop of the Cascade Mountains, our guests can ski, hike, shop, and explore the best in gourmet food or craft beer, all while experiencing the best new cinema discoveries in our amazing and extensive festival programming.
By popular request, unique online-only screenings, events, & premieres have been added to our upcoming festival’s schedule. Following the conclusion of our in-person film festival screenings (held in the most historic and unique cinemas across Oregon) a week-long separate streaming-only portion of the festival has been introduced - to showcase a curated selection of our festival films to online audiences.
