HOTEL NO TELL
Canada
Dir: Devon Unrau
After connecting to hotel Wi-Fi, Roger discovers more than just his room.
Thematically explores the idea of surrendering to technology - and allowing it to take control. Our dependency on social media and our rapid adoption of the ‘smart home’ concept shows no sign of changing. My film questions if we can think for ourselves or if we have fallen victim to the networks and/or ideology we connect to.

Dir: Jordan Baseman
This story is based on interviews with people who have chosen to wear mastectomy tattoos, and on conversations with scientists and academics.

She recounts the jolt of medical menopause, her rejection of breast reconstruction, followed by her encounter with mastectomy tattoos, and finally the realization of her own joyful inking.
Written by artist Jordan Baseman with writer Sally O’Reilly. Dr Becky Coles-Gale, a Clinical Health Psychologist. Other contributors include tattooist Mary Jane Haake; Professor Margot Mifflin, City University of New York; Dr John Troyer, University of Bath; and Dr Gemma Angel, University of Leicester.
The film was co-produced by Matt’s Gallery, London and Nerve Centre, Derry with executive production by Jacqui Davies. The original score is by award-winning sound artist and composer, DIE HEXEN.

Scarlett Staccato
USA
Dir: Ava Stapleton
A raunchy horror-pop burlesque show, but it's far beyond me to trap it inside a label.
Being a student at Pacific Northwest College of Art, Stapleton chose to work with found objects in order to exercise her skill in reanimating something that is more or less stagnant. Making these things dance around the screen would be far too easy, ...so she sought to utilize everything the medium could lend her which allowed for much creative problem-solving.
