An Outside Force

Using classical mechanics and the principles of Sir Isaac Newton, Riley begins to carefully and methodically reveal his new form of addiction. It’s cheap, simple, and anonymous. Dylan Percy’s Pecan Pie Story

As Keith scribbles in his crossword puzzle, his best friend Dylan joins him, and we learn of Keith’s problems with his girlfriend and obsession with his failure in life. Dylan jumps on the chance to tell his version of a crude morality tale when Keith orders a slice of pecan pie. Before Keith has a chance to take one bite of pie, he’s imagining himself as the main character in Dylan’s story.

Solitude

An isolated man living deep in the woods, finds his solitude in jeopardy when he mistakes another man for an animal and accidental shoots and kills him. Having not seen another person in quite sometime and watching this man die before his very eyes, our lead character is faced with the dilemma, ‘What should I do?’. No one else was around, no one would ever find out. Does he turn in the body of the man he killed, or pretend as if it never happened and continue to live on?

Oyster Acidification: Postcard from the Oregon Coast
