NOFX: Backstage Passport - The Movie
USA
Dir: Jeff Alulis
Starring: Fat Mike, Eric Melvin, Erik Sandin, El Hefe
In 2008, NOFX released a docu-series called Backstage Passport
which followed the band’ ill-fated attempts to take punk rock around the globe. Over the following four years, NOFX set out to make up shows in Mexico, Peru, and Colombia which were cancelled during the first Backstage Passport
tour. Inner-band meltdowns, shady promoters, water cannons, tear gas, fires, drugs, and —of course— riot cops… the cameras were there (again) to capture it all. This feature-length documentary shows what happens when NOFX tries to keep their word.
