What does it mean to identify as an agender, asexual person? How does the construct of gender, impact on expressions of identity for the individual? How is gender represented and perceived and understood within our culture? How are non-binary individuals represented?
gendersick asks questions about our understanding of gender today.
Using in-camera, stop frame animation techniques and recorded over a week, with one-second long, double-exposure shots taken on the streets of Texas - make up the foundations for the visual material. The narration, is a highly edited audio collage was derived from interview sessions lasting many hours, and over multiple days.

La La La La features hours of interviews and recordings have been collaged together to present multiple narratives simultaneously. Fragmentation, overlapping: a conflux of information visually and aurally collide in this work.
La La La La is a Wellcome Trust funded collaboration with NHS psychiatrist Professor Julian Hughes, University of Bristol, RICE Professor of Old Age Psychiatry.
La La La La in many ways is an experimental portrait featuring residents living in a care home in North Shields. The production of the film itself is a result of a scientific study exploring Citizenship and Authenticity with people within residential care homes.

The Night Light Lounge is the perfect place to go after the Awards Ceremony, ..before coming back to Clinton Street to see the Saturday evening films!
